La Marquise, the oldest car in the world (yet functional!), Will be auctioned next month.
According to international media, "elders" of 127 years, because so is La Marque, was commissioned in 1881, in France, the Count De Dion. That was 12 years before Henry Ford to assemble the first car. Count De Dion said, "The Marquise" as a tribute to his mother.
The oldest car in the world, which auction house hopes to obtain about 1.8 million,is 2.7 meters long, and weighs no less than 2.1 tons. Besides these technicalspect would be noted and that "Marquises" I have about three quarters of an hourto start (so long steam engine needs to be put into operation).
Top speed reached by the machine age is about 60 kilometers per hour, a hugespeed in 1881 ...
