It was expected that the new Beetle to receive a top bearing the logo version of R.Even though there are now 200 hp turbo engines, it seems that the concept shownat Frankfurt Motor Show to announce a more powerful version of the will have 260 hp or more.
A Beetle 200 hp is fast, but apparently not enough ... Since the announcement ofnext-generation Beetle, speculated thoughts were eager to create a versionbearing the logo of R. But now, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Volkswagen confirmany rumor and comes with a concept version of the series announced VW Beetleof R.
On the outside, Beetle R Concept is a sporty and aggressive, with new bumperswith 30mm wider than stock version. Just wheel arches and wings that have beenwidened by 15mm. These are common front with 20-inch wheels that have the same design as Talladega Golf and Scirocco R R.
Presented at the show car has an extension of the bumper, LED daytime running lights embedded in the headlights, rear spoiler much higher than normal, a rear diffuser and a ceiling painted in gloss black to match the top of the trunk andcarcasses mirrors.
On the details to the body, we find some vents on the hood and exhaust with 4 outputs. Inside, the Beetle R Concept has a pair of sport seats upholstered withNappa leather, while the board and various elements are painted all black "gloss",which is more in Romanian, shiny ... And as a last touch sports, we find aluminumpedals and various clocks that do not meet the regular versions.
And finally, reach under the hood. It seems that here they will find there the same2.0-liter TFSI engine from the Golf and Scirocco R R 270 currently producing 265 hp respectively. Perhaps R Beetle engine will power this little small, only 260 hp.So, who wants a vicious frog, will most certainly next year, to order a VW Beetle R.
